Die Reisegeschwindigkeit für Wohnmobile und Caravan-Gespanne auf Landstraßen ist meist von Hubraum und Gesamtgewicht abhängig. Die Spanne der Höchstgeschwindigkeit auf Landstraßen liegt zwischen 60 (Rumänien) und 120 km/h (auf Schnellstraßen in Belgien). Auf Autobahnen liegt das Geschwindigkeits-Spektrum zwischen 60 (Rumänien) und 130 km/h (Frankreich, Kroatien, Italien usw.), in Deutschland sogar unbegrenzt (bis 3,5 t). Wegen der sehr unterschiedlichen Geschwindigkeitsbestimmungen für Wohnmobile und Wohnwagengespanne, empfiehlt der ADAC allen Campern, vor Reiseantritt sich einen Merkzettel auf das Armaturenbrett zu legen. Denn sicher ist sicher, belasten doch Geschwindigkeitsübertretungen die Reisekasse erheblich, denn in den meisten Ländern werden diese streng geahndet.
